Change log for the October 2019 CB Protection 8.1.4 Server Installation Guide (doc version 8.1.4.e on the copyright page):

This update contains only one content change. In the "Preparing for Server Installation" chapter, the "Installation Overview" section now includes the following guidance about .NET version:

Important: The Carbon Black Collective Defense Cloud (CDC), which provides file trust and threat information and allows automatic updates of certain rules, requires a TLS 1.2 connection from the CB Protection Server. If you intend to connect to the CDC, use of .NET 4.6 (or later) is recommended. Earlier versions of .NET will default to pre-TLS-1.2 protocols, and this will prevent a CDC connection unless you disable those older
protocols. Disabling older TLS/SSL protocols may be a security issue for connections to other services from your CB Protection Server.

Change log for the July 29, 2019 CB Protection 8.1.4 Server Installation Guide (doc version 8.1.4.d on the copyright page):

On page 13, removed a step for checking the version of Windows Installer and downloading version 5 if it is not present. All supported OSs for CB Protection Server 8.1.4 include Windows Installer version 5, and so a download is unnecessary. In addition, Microsoft does not provide a separate download for a Windows Installer 5 redistributable.

Change log for the July 24, 2019 CB Protection 8.1.4 Server Installation Guide:

Minor editorial updates. Changes include corrections for several font issues, a numbering error, incorrect footers in the table of contents, and several typographic errors. No technical changes are involved and it is unnecessary to replace a previous version of this document if you have already downloaded it.

Change log for the June 2019 CB Protection 8.1.4 Server Installation Guide:

Very minor changes were made in the Preface to eliminate an obsolete comment about Release Note content and make other minor editorial changes. No technical changes are involved and it is unnecessary to replace the May 2019 version if you have already downloaded it.

Change log for the May 2019 CB Protection 8.1.4 Server Installation Guide (changes since latest 8.1.0 version):

In the "Preparing for Server Installation" chapter, modified the "About to CB Protection Distribution" and "Installation Overview" sections to indicate that agent installation packages are now distributed separately via the User Exchange rather than being built into the server installation.

In the "Installing the CB Protection Server" chapter, updated the "Upgrade Installation Overview" section to indicate that ParityServerSetup.exe is used for all upgrades unless otherwise instructed by CB Support. The "patcher" is no longer used.

Other corrections and improvements were made throughout the document.
