We would like to announce the release of an update to the Cb Defense (Confer) dashboard. This update will undergo a phased roll out starting November 28, 2016. Over the course of the next 5 days we will be updating the user interface for all or our customers. The will be no downtime associated with these updates, which will occur between 8PM and 12AM EST each respective day.
With this update the following features will be immediately available:
- The ability to quarantine a device directly from the Settings > Enrollment page
- Rebranding of the web dashboard and email notifications to reflect the Cb Defense logo
- An update to the sensor management page to accurately reflect macOS 10.12 as a supported OS version
In preparation for an upcoming sensor release the dashboard will additionally display two new options for administrators to whitelist applications from the Settings > Reputation page:
- IT Tools - this functionality will allow users to assign an initial elevated trust to applications that are dropped by IT Tools that are known to their organization. This trust will be assigned to both programs and scripts written by the initial installer. Detailed information about the IT Tools designation will be provided in the updated user guide.
- Certs - this functionality will allow users to assign an initial elevated trust to applications that are signed by a specified publisher and Certificate Authority. Detailed information about Certs will be provided in the updated user guide.
The IT Tools and Certs options will not have any effect on application trust levels until the device has been updated to the upcoming release.
