(Updated 3/27/23) App Control Linux RHEL 8.7 Compatibility Issues

3/27 Update - The 8.7.14 Linux agent has been released, which resolves the issues with the 4.18.0-425.10.1 kernel update. For more information, please see the official announcement here, which also includes links to download and release notes.

Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve these issues.

Original Post

We are aware of an issue causing the new 8.7.12 Linux agent to not work as expected on RHEL 8.7 Kernels (4.18.0-425.3.1+). We are recommending that customers DO NOT install the 8.7.12 agent on RHEL 8.7.

This incompatibility issue is due to late-breaking changes Red Hat made to resolve boot failure issues with the original RHEL 8.7 GA kernel (4.18.0-425.3.1). Red Hat released kernel patch 4.18.0-425.10.1 to resolve, which requires additional changes to the 8.7.12 agent we released to support RHEL 8.7.

We are working as quickly as possible to provide a new agent that will be compatible with RHEL's new kernel patch. We apologize for any inconvenience or delay this has caused.

Thank you for your understanding,

The App Control PM Team

Any update?

Keen on an update too.

Same here

Hello,

Is there an update to this issue? Looks like it has been about a month when this issue was announced.

Would be good to get an update on when we should expect the updated agent for RHEL 8.7
