VMware Carbon Black EDR 7.3 Server Configuration (cb.conf) Guide

This document applies to all 7.3 versions.

This document describes the contents of the cb.conf file, the primary configuration file for VMware Carbon Black EDR. By changing the values of parameters in cb.conf, you can change the behavior and performance of Carbon Black EDR.

Before editing the cb.conf file, you should be sufficiently familiar with the features and operation of Carbon Black EDR to decide about when and whether to change its configuration. See the VMware Carbon Black 7.3 EDR User Guide.

The CbJavaHome variable is updated to state 1.8.0 or higher for EL6 or 1.11.0 or higher for EL7 or EL8.

This edition of the Server Configuration Guide is rebranded with the new product name (changed from CB Response to VMware Carbon Black EDR).
