VMware Carbon Black EDR Server 7.5.0 Release Notes

The VMware Carbon Black EDR Server 7.5.0 Release Notes document provides information for users upgrading from previous versions and users who are new to VMware Carbon Black EDR and are installing it for the first time. It consists of the following sections:

[On-Prem Only] Preparing for Server Installation or Upgrade – Describes requirements to meet and information needed before beginning the installation process for the EDR server.

Configure Sensor Update Settings Before Upgrading Server – Describes how to configure sensor update settings before upgrading the server, so that you can elect whether you want the new sensor to be deployed immediately to existing sensor installations, or install only the server updates first.

Corrective Content – Describes issues resolved by this release as well as more general improvements in performance or behavior.

Third Party Software Updates – Describes updates of third party software included in this version.

Known Issues – Describes known issues or anomalies in this version.

Note:

EDR Server 7.5.0 includes a security patch to Apache Solr that resolves CVE-2021-27905.

Note:

Instances that previously had Yara Manager installed may run into Nginx starting due to duplicate listening ports. Follow this KB article for resolution.

where is download link for the HOSTED EDR?

Hi @2Securecorp, Hosted EDR instances are upgraded by the Carbon Black team – there is no action needed on your end. Therefore, download links are only made available to on-prem EDR customers. Hosted EDR customers were upgraded to Server 7.5.0 on Sunday, 6/6.
