App Control: Approve Publisher Option Greyed Out on the Details Page

Environment

  • App Control Server: 8.8.2

Symptoms

  • Details page for a Publisher shows the option to Approve or Ban it as greyed out
  • Reputation Approvals are not enabled

Cause

This issue was caused by a defect in the Console when Reputation Approvals are not enabled and tracked under EP-15407.

Resolution

Upgrade to Server version 8.8.4 or higher.

Additional Notes

In the meantime to Approve/Ban a publisher:
  1. Go to Rules > Software Rules > Publishers
  2. Select the checkbox for that publisher
  3. Use the "Action" button to Approve or Ban it
