App Control: How to Increase the CSV Export Limit

App Control: How to Increase the CSV Export Limit

Environment

  • App Control (Formerly CB Protection) Console: All Supported Versions
  • App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Objective

To increase the CSV export limit within the console.

Resolution

  1. Login to App Control server
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Console\WebUI\Include
  3. Save 2 copies of the parity.ini file to another location
  4. Edit one copy by editing or adding a line to the [UI] section of parity.ini:
    • CSV Record Limit = 25000
  5. Replace original parity.ini with edited copy
  6. Confirm export of specified amount is operational

Additional Notes

  • Warning: Setting the cap higher may cause Parity Web Console to crash.
  • Current limitation is in place due to memory usage issues with PHP
  • 25000 should be replaced with the desired record limit
  • Commas are not supported within the configuration
  • There is no need to restart the server or App Control services.
