• App Control Server: All Versions
• Microsoft SQL Server: All Versions

Objective

How to take a full DAS backup

Resolution

Please follow the steps outlined by Microsoft on completing a database backup Create a Full Database Backup - SQL Server 

Additional Notes

If the machine has both the App Control Server and DAS database on it, a snapshot can be taken as a backup.
If the machine only has the App Control Server and not the DAS database, i.e. the DAS database is stored on another machine, taking a snapshot of the App Control Server as a backup is not an option.
