App Control: Linux agent not able to be installed because of the error Cannot create temporary file - mkstemp

Environment

  • App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
  • Linux OS: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

  • After executing ./b9install.sh -n command the installation fails because of the error: 
    Cannot create temporary file - mkstemp: No such file or directory
ERROR: Failed to install b9notifier, rolling back install.

Cause

Missing dependencies on the endpoint.

Resolution

  1. Install the missing dependencies using the following command: 
    sudo yum install libicu nspr nss nss-softokn nss-softokn-freebl nss-sysinit nss-util
  2. After installation is complete, attempt the Agent installation again.
