Symptoms
Mac Agent Version 8.7.2 installs or upgrades fail due to an expired certificate
Cause
As of January 9, 2023, the Apple certificate used when signing the latest App Control Mac Agent 8.7.2.109.276 expired.
Apple requires all developer certificates to be signed, so customers installing a build with an expired certificate will not be able to install or upgrade them.
Resolution
A newly signed Mac Agent 8.7.2.109.515 is now available for download from
VMware Docs HERE. Please use this build version when installing or upgrading the Mac Agents
Additional Notes
This is the same version of the 8.7.2 Mac Agent with no code changes except the use of a new Apple certificate when signing the build.
