App Control: Revocation Check Setting in Console Does Not Update Correctly

App Control: Revocation Check Setting in Console Does Not Update Correctly

Environment

  • App Control Console: 8.9.2 and Prior Versions

Symptoms

When changing the Initial Revocation Check or Background Revocation Check in System Configuration > Advanced Options to None the Console shows Network as the selected option

Cause

The changes are saved correctly in the Agent Config, but the GUI is inaccurately showing the Network value; rather than correctly showing the value, None

Resolution

This bug was tracked under EP-16012 and was resolved with the release of Server version 8.9.4.

Additional Notes

  • Refer back to this article for future updates
  • To verify the setting of None is saved correctly to the Agent Config:
    1. Login to the Console and go to: https://ServerAddress/agent_config.php
    2. Click Show Filters > Add filter > Value > contains: cert_chain_flags
    3. Compare the Values for both the background_cert_chain_flags and cert_chain_flags after making changes:
      • Cache: =0x8000005
      • Network: =0x28000001
      • None: =0x8000001
