- App Control Server: All Versions (Formerly CB Protection)
- App Control Linux Agent: Enabled
Symptoms
- Policy installers are not generating
- Temp Folder contains thousands of .tmp files
Cause
Due to a build issue, a series of temp files are left behind randomly, causing future builds to fail.
Resolution
- Stop the CB Protection Server and Reporter Service
- Navigate to C:\Users\<SERVICE ACCOUNT>\Appdata\Local\Temp
- Delete the files that have file names of:
tmp****.tmp
- Start the CB Protection Server and Reporter Services

VMware Carbon Black is investigating an automatic cleanup in a future release.
