App Control: What Operations Are Ignored by a Performance Optimization Rule?

Environment

  • App Control Agent: All Supported Versions

Question

What operations are ignored by a Performance Optimization rule?

Answer

Performance Optimization rules will instruct the Agent to ignore: Read, Rename, Write, Write Delayed and Delete operations. Executions will still be monitored by the Agent.

Additional Notes

A Performance Optimization Rule may prevent File Creation Control Rules from working properly, as the Agent will no longer be tracking the operations necessary for a File Creation Control Rule to function.
