Symptoms
- After upgrading the App Control Agent to 8.1, there is a chance that Windows will fail to boot and hang during the startup process.
- The issue may only occur on 5-10% of boot attempts.
Cause
There is a race condition that has a small chance in that parity.sys will cause a deadlock during the startup process.
Resolution
- The issue has been addressed in the upcoming App Control 8.1 patch 2 release. Please upgrade to this version or higher.
