Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
  • Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Versions
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
  • Apple MacOS: All Supported Versions

Objective

How to Enable\Disable Bypass from the Sensor UI

Resolution

  1. Log into the Carbon Black Cloud Console
  2. Go to Enforce > Policies
  3. Select [policy name] > Sensor Tab
  4. Enable (check) "Allow user to disable protection"
  5. Save Changes
  6. Once Sensor has checked in with the Carbon Black Cloud, the end-user will be able to place the Sensor into Bypass using the Protection (ON/OFF) toggle options
