Environment
- CB Defense Sensor: Version 2.1.0.149
- RHEL/CentOS: All supported versions
Symptoms
- An error occurred during registration (failed to decipher registration code: XXXXXX)
- Failed: agent installation failed
Cause
The intall.sh script used to install the CB Defense Linux sensor is configured to only accept the 3.X registration code
Resolution
The CB Defense Linux Sensor requires use of the 3.X company registration code to successfully install
Additional Notes
Some company codes may contain special characters. Please refer to the sensor installation guide for instructions on how to escape these special characters properly
