CB Defense: Repeated Event ID 17 events for the Background Scan

• CB Defense Sensor 1.0.6.194 and Higher
• Microsoft Windows Vista and Higher
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Higher

 

Question

Why am I seeing repeated Event ID 17 events for the Cb Defense Background Scan?

Answer

This is expected behavior. Once the Background Scan has completed, Event Viewer will show an Event ID 17 in the Application Events log to indicate the status of the Background Scan each time the service starts.
