CB Defense: VDI Sensor Services are Running But are Not Showing Up in the Console

Environment

• CB Defense PSC Backend: All Versions
• CB Defense PSC Sensors: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

• Defense Sensor is installed and running on VDI Images but they are not showing up on the PSC Dashboard
• "Enable Deregistration of VDI sensors that have been inactive" has been enabled in your environment while the master image was on
• Confer.log shows "Server returned error 0x7D0: Maintenance mode"

Cause

This can happen if the Master Image was deregistered due to being on at the same time as the "Enable Deregistration of VDI sensors that have been inactive" option was enabled

Resolution

1. The Sensor on the Master Image will need to be reinstalled
2. To prevent this issue in the future make sure the Deregistration settings are off while the Master Image is on
