CB Defense: WebRoot software not uninstalling normally

Environment

• CB Defense Sensor: 3.4.0.1097
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
• Webroot SecureAnywhere

Symptoms

• Internet Explorer (IE) crashes when opened
• Issue resolves when CB Defense in Bypass mode
• Webroot SecureAnywhere was installed previously and removed
• Webroot SecureAnywhere no longer shows as Add-On in IE
• Registry keys referring to Webroot SecureAnywhere remain

Cause

Corrupted Add-On for WebRoot SecureAnywhere remains in Internet Explorer and needs to be removed

Additional Notes

It is best practice to set Permission Rules for other Security and Antivirus programs in the Policy page for CB Defense. Also configure other Security and Antivirus programs to have exclusions for CB Defense.
