CB Defense: Why Are Alert Notifications Coming from a Different Email Address?

Environment

  • CB Defense Web Console: All Versions

Question

Why are Alert notifications no longer coming from "cloud@confer.net" and instead are being received from "noreply@carbonblack.com"?

Answer

A recent change was made to align product notifications with the product name. The email notifications will no longer come from "cloud@confer.net", but from "noreply@carbonblack.com" after the March '19 (0.45) release.

Additional Notes

  • This will affect all PSC-related emails, including notifications.
  • Email recipients may find the Alert notifications have now gone to the Junk Folder.
  • It is recommended to adjust email rules to allow messages from "noreply@carbonblack.com".
  • User Invites and Installation Request emails will continue to use the "cloud@confer.net" until the March '19 (0.45) release.
