CB Linux Sensor installation fails with "Header V4 RSA/SHA1 signature: BAD" error

Issue
Installing the Carbon Black sensor on a RHEL/CentOS system fails.


Symptoms

When installing the RPM using the sh script, the following error is produced:

error: /root/CarbonBlackClientSetup-linux-v4.2.6.50413.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 signature: BAD, key ID 6ac57704

error: /root/CarbonBlackClientSetup-linux-v4.2.6.50413.rpm cannot be installed

Cause

 

Our RPM files are signed with v4 signatures for RHEL/CentOS 6.x support. If you are using an unsupported OS version, the Sensor installation will fail with this message.
