App Control: Can the Port Number Be Changed for the Management Console?

App Control: Can the Port Number Be Changed for the Management Console?

Environment

  • App Control Server: All Supported Versions
  • Microsoft IIS: All Supported Versions

Question

Can the default port number (443) be changed for the management console?

Answer

No, port 443 is hard coded into the application and various portions of supporting pages.

Additional Notes

  • While the page can be bound to another port in IIS, doing so will cause the console to stop functioning properly.
  • Alternatively the Resource Download Location can be adjusted to prevent exposing Port 443 to endpoints.
