Question
Is it possible to create a custom .msi installer that contains the .exe and .ini files?
Answer
- No, CB Response does not provide a single .MSI file with the configuration file (.ini) and sensor group certificate already bundled inside.
- A single ZIP file is provided that contains the MSI, EXE, and ini file.
Additional Notes
- Some 3rd party tools may be available to merge the INI and MSI files.
- The MSI files provided by CB Response are not dynamically generated, which is why they require the external INI file to specify sensor group and other settings.
- A feature request for this functionality is being tracked in Idea Central.
