Objective
How to invite new users to a private Company Group to view and open Technical Support cases.
Resolution
- Log into the Carbon Black UEX with a Group Admin account.
- Navigate to the Company Group's home page (Company Group > Company Group).
- Click the View All button under the list of members:

- Click Invite Members
- Enter the user's User Exchange id into the "Send To" field
- Click Send Invitation.
Additional Notes
- Note: Make sure to use the user ID and not the user's email when inviting them
- The new user will receive an email invitation to join the group.
- The new user needs to validate their email in order to be added to the group.
- If the user is not validated they will see the error "You do not have sufficient permissions for this resource or its parent to perform this action".
- PLEASE NOTE: there is a bug currently where the system cannot return two-character usernames in order to invite them. If you need to invite a team member that has a 2-character username, please email us and we'll take care of it.
