  • Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 2.2.x.x and lower
  • RHEL/CentOS: All Supported Versions
  • Ubuntu: All Supported Versions
  • SUSE: All Supported Versions
  • Amazon Linux: All Supported Versions

Question

Can the CB Defense PSC Linux Sensor be assigned a policy?

Answer

Yes, any policy can be manually assigned to the Linux Sensor.

Additional Notes

  • Versions 2.1.x.x and 2.2.x.x of the Linux Sensor provide only Live Response functionality
  • No other Sensor Settings or Policy rules will affect the Linux Sensor
  • For Live Response to function, the Linux Sensor must belong to a policy with Live Response enabled
  • Policies can only be manually assigned to the Linux Sensor at this time. Sensor Groups and Auto-Assign are not supported.
