Carbon Black Cloud: CompanyCode in cfg.ini does not match the code in the UI

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 3.x and Above
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

CompanyCode in cfg.ini does not match the Company Code that was used during install or appears in the UI

Cause

The Company Code in the console is encoded to include the actual company code and reference to the back-end server. The cfg.ini file contains the actual CompanyCode

Resolution

This is behaving as expected. The CompanyCode in cfg.ini will not match the company code in the UI
