Question

How and When Does a Policy Get Applied to an Endpoint?

Answer

When a policy and/or sensor group is applied to a Sensor, the Carbon Black Cloud backend server waits for the endpoint to come online. Upon check-in, the endpoint will receive its new policy and other info. It will then change its behavior to reflect the new setup.

Because healthy Sensors check in every minute, then new policies can be applied within that amount of time.
