Carbon Black Cloud: Linux Endpoint Hangs After Sensor Install

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 2.8.x
  • Linux: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

Endpoint hangs/ becomes inaccessible after installing Sensor

Cause

Ran into some third party applications that were using deprecated/improper kernel calls that the sensor did not account for

Resolution

This was fixed in the 2.9 sensor
