Carbon Black Cloud: Office 365 Apps Slow to Startup on 3.5.0.1756

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
• Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: 3.5.0.1756 and above
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

• Observing significant startup delay with Office 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, etc...) 
• Once these applications startup, they work fine

Cause

This issue is currently under investigation

Resolution

While we continue to investigate this issue, please create the following permission rule as a to workaround this issue

Application(s) at path: C:\WINDOWS\splwow64.exe
Performs any API operation
Bypass
