Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: Some Linux Endpoints Fail to Upgrade from Console
Environment
Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 2.11.0 and Below
Linux: All Supported Versions
Symptoms
Some endpoints upgraded from the console never update
Issuing the command again may or may not upgrade the sensor
Cause
At the time of upgrade, the upgrade request was dropped before it reached the sensor, possibly due to network issues.
The sensor will only receive the upgrade request once, if missed, it will never try again
Resolution
Sensor version 2.11.1 will have a feature to receive new upgrade hints
For older sensor versions, send another upgrade request from the console
