Cb Defense: There seems to be a problem connecting to the Cb Defense cloud

Environment

  • Cb Defense Sensor: All Versions
  • Apple MAC OS: All supported versions

Symptoms

  • During attended installation of Mac Sensor, the Sensor's Graphical Interface prompts user to enter the activation code
  • After entering the Activation Code, Sensor returns error "There seems to be a problem connecting to the Cb Defense cloud. Please try registering again later."
  • Unable to complete activation and installation of Mac Sensor.

Cause

This issue may occur if the Company Code is used instead of the Activation Code.

Resolution

The Company Code may not be used in place of the Activation Code during attended installation. Please generate the Activation Code as directed in Cb Defense: How to Perform an Attended Installation of the Windows Sensor.
