App Control: Error Received When Selecting "Move Computer" As A New Event Rule Action

Environment

• App Control Console (Formerly CB Protection): All Supported Versions
• App Control Agent (Formerly CB Protection): All Supported Versions

Symptoms

• Error when creating a new Event Rule and selecting the action "Move Computer":

  "Move Computer" action is disabled. Please contact Carbon Black Support to enable it.

Cause

This is disabled by default

Resolution

1. Go to https://<Server>/shepherd_config.php
2. In the Defined Properties field, select "New Property"
3. In the New Property Name field enter "AllowMoveComputerFromEventRules"
4. In the Property Value field enter "True"
5. Click "Change"

Additional Notes

Only use the shepherd_config configuration page when directed to do so by a Carbon Black Technical Support representative.  
Making configuration changes without Carbon Black Technical Support guidance could render the product inoperable
