Environment

• Cb Protection Server: 7.x & 8.x
• Cb Protection Agent: 7.x & 8.x

Symptoms

• Agent attempted an upgrade
• Block in the web console: "File 'c:\programdata\bit9\parity agent\parityhostagent.msi' was blocked because it was unapproved."

Cause

The agent sees the ParityHostAgent.msi file as unapproved, preventing the file from executing and the agent from upgrading.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Cb Protection Console
2. Navigate to the ParityHostAgent.msi File Detail's page
3. Globally approve the file using a different approval method
4. Allow agents some time to sync up CL Versions and receive the approvals. This can be verified on the Assets>Computers page, monitor the agent's CL Version against the Server's Current CL Version
5. Re-attempt the upgrade(s)
