Cb Protection: Unable to Create AD (Active Directory) Mappings in the Console

Environment

• Cb Protection Console: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

• Attempting to edit existing AD mappings, or creating new AD mappings, results in a timeout in the console

Cause

• Slow AD lookups in the environment

Resolution

1. Edit the following file on the Cb Protection Server:
2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Console\WebUI\include\parity.ini

Find the line:

SOAP Call Timeout = 120

Edit this line to increase the timeout as follows:

SOAP Call Timeout = 180
