Issue
Console performance is slow and sometimes times out due to wildcard on a query.
Cause
Lack of disk space, high segment count, high data retention or other hardware related factor can affect the performance. This solution is specific for performance issue due to wildcard on a query.
Solution
On any query, using asterisk ( * ) at the beginning of the query will cause performance issue. Please only use wildcard(s) anywhere on the query other than at the beginning of the text.
