EDR: How to Integrate with App Control

Environment

  • EDR Server: All Versions
  • EDR Console
  • App Control Server: All Versions

Objective

To integrate EDR into App Control

Resolution

  1. Login to the EDR web Console.
  2. Create an EDR User for Integration.
  3. Configure and Activate the Integration
    1. Navigate to Username > My Profile in the top-right corner of the console.
    2. On the "My Profile" page, select "API Token" on the left menu.
    3. In the API Token field, copy the presented API Token.
    4. Log into the App Control console from another tab or browser.
    5. Navigate to System Configuration:
      1. If running v7.2.3, choose Administration > System Configuration
      2. If running v8.0.0, click the Administration (gear) icon and choose System Configuration
    6. Click on the Licensing tab.
    7. Insert the EDR configuration settings at the bottom of the page.
    8. Click the Test button to confirm both servers are communicating appropriately.

Additional Notes

If clicking the Test button results in failure then confirm it is not due to the following scenarios:
  • Invalid API Token
  • Server Inaccessible
  • Force Strong SSL
