Endpoint Standard: Attended sensor upgrade occasionally shows 'Files In Use' pop up

Environment

  • Endpoint Standard (Formerly CB Defense) Sensor: All Supported Versions
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

  • A pop up with below message is seen:
Files in Use- Some files that need to be updated are currently in use.
  • The upgrade wizard seems to be stuck at 'Validating Install'

Cause

The MSI Restart manager times out, prompting the 'Files in Use' dialog to give user a chance to close apps

Resolution

  • This is resolved as of Sensor Versions 3.6.0.2127 & 3.7.0.1253

Additional Notes

Workaround:
Choose the "Ignore" option available in the "Files in Use" pop up
