• Endpoint Standard Web Console: November '20 Release (0.60) and Higher
• Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: 3.6.0.1897 and Higher

Objective

How to enable policy-based blocking in Device Control? 

Resolution

1. Authenticate into the CBC Dashboard
2. Expand Enforce
3. Click Policies 
4. Select the prevention tab
5. To enable blocking select Block access to all unapproved USB devices

• To enable blocking in multiple policies or all policies within the organization, use the “Copy setting to other policies” feature.
