• Endpoint Standard Sensor: 1.0.7.4
• Microsoft Windows XP

Symptoms

• Unattended installation failed with this error in a verbose install log

• Attended install fails when attempting to apply the installation code

Cause

Something is wrong with the installation package

Resolution

• Download the correct Sensor package from Cb Defense: How To Download Legacy Sensor for Windows XP/Server 2003
• Perform an attended installation - Endpoint Standard: How to perform an Attended Installation

Additional Notes

• Per Windows XP End of Support, Windows XP has reached End of Support on 4/8/2014.
• No support or updates are available for the legacy sensor version provided in this article. For more information on the limitations imposed by the End of Life status of the Windows XP/Server 2003 sensor please see  Cb Defense Sensor Support Policy.
• 64-bit editions of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 were never supported by Endpoint Standard and there is no sensor available for those.
