Endpoint Standard: No events appear in console for SUSE Linux

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud
    • Endpoint Standard
    • Enterprise EDR
  • Endpoint Standard Sensor: 2.4.0-2.9.1
  • SUSE Linux: 12.4

Symptoms

Sensor is actively checking into the server, but no events are available to search

Cause

Not all SUSE and OpenSUSE distributions are supported by Carbon Black Cloud for Linux

Resolution

The "Enterprise EDR & Endpoint Standard Supported Distributions and Kernel Versions (RHEL/CentOS)" section of Carbon Black Cloud sensor: Linux sensor support will list the supported versions for SUSE Linux when available
