No Metadata Health Check for Carbon Black Protection Agent

Issue

Agent is giving a health check error for no metadata

Example: Bit9 Agent detected a problem: File[parity.sys] in InstallDir has no metadata. Options[00000003] TotalFailures[10]

Cause
The agent cache has seen corruption. Corruption is generally caused by improper shutdown of the machine

Solution

From the Console:

• Go to Assets > Computers > View computer details

• On the right hand side > Perform Cache Consistency Check > Full scan for new files

From the command prompt on the endpoint:

• Open CMD as administrator and change directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Agent\

• dascli password <cli or global password here>

• dascli checkcache 3
