Carbon Black Cloud: Where are the API Credentials?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Supported Versions

Question

Where are the API Credentials found for use with the APIs?

Answer

• To find these credentials for using the APIs

1. Go to Settings > API Access > API Keys
2. Find the desired API Key by name
3. API ID is also displayed in its own column
4. Click the down-arrow under the Actions column
5. Click 'API Credentials'
6. API ID is displayed and available for copy/paste
7. Initial API Secret Key is masked and generating a new API Secret key is required if the original key is lost

Additional Notes

• When adding a new API Key, the API Secret key is only displayed once at the time of creation and should be stored in a secured manner for later reference.
• This information will not be stored in Carbon Black Cloud Console.
