Uploading Carbon Black Protection Diagnostic Logs to Carbon Black Support

Uploading Carbon Black Protection Diagnostic Logs to Carbon Black Support

Topic:
This document describes how to upload collected diagnostic data to Carbon Black Support for analysis

Steps:

Direct download by Carbon Black Support Member (this only available for version 7.2.x and higher)

-On the Cb Protection console, go to Administration > System Configuration > Licensing > Options > Edit Setting > check the box for "Enable direct file transfer to Carbon Black Support for Troubleshooting" > click Save Settings.

This only allows us to download files contained in the folder Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Server\Support.

These are the same files you'll see when you go to https://{YourCbProtectionServer}/support.php and click on Available Log Files.

It does NOT give us any permission on any other location. We can only download from that location and NOT upload.

https://services.bit9.com/WebServices/WCF_DSService.svc

https://s3.amazonaws.com

- Go to Cb Vault for file upload.
