What happens when an agent computer name is changed? Will the Cb Enterprise Protection console pick up the new name automatically, or is there some additional action required?
Answer
When you change the name of a machine running the Cb Enterprise Protection agent, the console will automatically pick up the change, and no additional steps are required.
To confirm that the new name is picked up, you can see the new computer name in the Assets > Computers list.
There will also be an event logged with subtype "Computer Modified" and description "Computer from <ipaddress> changed its name from <oldname> to <newname>."
