EDR: Yum error: "Error: No Matching Packages to list"

Environment

• EDR Server: All Versions

Symptoms

Error when running the command: "yum list cb" :

Error: No Matching Packages to list

Cause

The yum program cannot find a list of matching packages because its list hasn't been updated. This typically occurs if the "yum clean all" was not run prior. 

Resolution

1. From the primary server, run:

# yum clean all

2. Run:

# yum list cb*

Additional Notes

If trying to find the linux sensor installer then for step 2 run the following: 

yum list --showduplicates cb-linux-sensor-installer
