EDR: Is A Sensor Uninstall/Reinstall Required When Pointing A Mac Sensor To A New Server?

• EDR Server: All Versions
• Mac OS: All Supported Versions

Question

• Does MacOS require an uninstall or deletion of an existing sensor installation when pointing to a new server?

Answer

1. This will require an uninstall of the old package for OS X sensors.

sudo /Applications/CarbonBlack/sensoruninst.sh

2. Install with the new server's sensorsettings.ini which includes the client cert and url to communicate.
