[Cb Protection] Announcing the Release of Cb Protection 7.2.3 Patch 9 Mac Agent

Today the Cb Protection team has released the latest version of the Cb Protection Mac agent (7.2.3-Patch 9). This release adds support for:

• 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Apple security update 2018-001
• 10.12.6 (Sierra) Apple security update 2018-001
• 10.13.3 (High Sierra) macOS

The agent works with both Cb Protection 7.2.3 and 8.x servers.

Thank you for the rapid response in a) notifying customers of the incompatibility of previous CbP agents with the Apple security updates and b) releasing an updated agent that fixes the incompatibilities.

Enhancement request: Strongly prefer graceful failure over kernel panics when incompatibilities arise, even if this results in an unprotected endpoint. This way, the endpoint can still boot up and connect to the network, for remediation.
