Symptoms
After upgrading to Agent version 8.8.2 or 8.9.0 errors are generated after reboots similar to:
The Carbon Black App Control Agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 132 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
Cause
A defect in the Agent's handling of tracking directory renames and deletes via the USN Journal was tracked under EP-18431 and fixed with the release of Agent 8.9.2.
Resolution
Upgrading to Agent version 8.9.2 will resolve the issue.
