  • IIS Manager

Objective

How to set the IIS identity for the DefaultAppPool

Resolution

  1. On the server open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager console. 
  2. Navigate in the left hand window to your server > Application Pools.
  3. Select the DefaultAppPool.
  4. In the right hand menu, select Advanced Settings.
  5. Within the Advanced Settings window, modify the Identity account by placing the new user, or password combination.
