App Control: Large Count of New Unapproved DLLs after Upgrade to Rules 1.4.3

Environment

• App Control Server: 8.1.8 (Formerly CB Protection)
• App Control Agent: All Versions
• Rules Version: 1.4.3

Symptoms

• Large number of new DLLs discovered on the device
• Larger than average blocks on these DLLs
• New DLLs are discovered by:
  • IntegrityCheck
  • Execution

Cause

This is caused by a defect in the Rules Installer version 1.4.3 

Resolution
